Horsemastership Certificate A Horsemastership Certificate shows that a student has completed the full year program and has a broad understanding of horse-related businesses in general, an overall riding competency applicable to a wide range of horse sports, an advanced level knowledge of one or more specific horse sports, and a thorough knowledge of the Soft Hands training method as it applies to working with young, green, and problem horses. Students who complete classes in all four quarterly programs with a grade C or better will receive a Horsemastership Certificate. These documents, along with student’s work portfolios will verify that students have a high degree of proficiency in the equine industry and that they are prepared to be successful in their own business, as employees or in continued higher education.
Equine Industry Professional Certificates EIEC will help students to achieve their goals in seeking outside professional certification such as the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA), American Riding Instruction Association (ARIA) and the United States Dressage Federation (USDF). Outside certification may require up to five days of additional testing. These tests are not part of EIEC tuition and will require additional cost. Please contact the EIEC Program Director for further details if you are interested in outside certification.
Instructor Certification Preparation Instructor Certification Preparation helps students understand the principles, concepts and techniques needed to teach others about horses, riding and/or other equine endeavors. This program may enhance existing job skills and be useful in finding a job with a riding school, camp, trekking or trail riding business, dude ranch, equine expedition business, holiday excursion business, or packing expedition business. Students may seek certification from a variety of organizations.
