Space is limited to one saddle, one bridle and tack trunk, with lock, if students want to store them at the Equestrian Center. All equipment, including feed and supplements, must be kept inside trunks, lockers or taken home. Other arrangements will have to be made for any equipment that does not fit into the space provided. Keep tack room areas neat and clean. Students leaseing horses for class use only may store approved saddles in boarder tack rooms.

Students are allowed to bring any equipment they would like to use during riding activity classes, horse shows, events, etc. All equipment should be clearly marked with the owner's name. The Equestrian Center administration and faculty are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Equipment that a student may consider bringing is listed below:

Saddle - by approval from staff

Bridle - may provide own, instructor must approve bit for school horse.

Grooming equipment - highly recommended.

Whips and/or crops; blunt spurs - optional but recommended.

 

NOTE: BOARDERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE SCHOOL TACK OR EQUIPMENT ON THEIR OWN HORSES OR KEEP ANY SCHOOL TACK OR EQUIPMENT IN THEIR TRUNKS FOR USE ON SCHOOL HORSES UNLESS USER HAS WRITTEN AND SIGNED PERMISSION. Tack found in student trunks or tack rooms is considered to have been stolen, and student will be treated accordingly.
