PAID TURN OUT SERVICE
Weekly turn out service is available on a limited basis if arranged in advance. Turn out service is available for an additional $40 per month. Horses will be turned out 3 times per week Monday – Friday. Boarders who turn their own horses out must check with staff for available times and paddocks. If turn out boots, and/or grooming after turn out are requested, there will be an additional fee. Payments are due in advance. Paid turn outs hold arena priority over self turn outs.

Emergency arrangements can be made by phone to the facility manager for your horse to be turned out in the event that you cannot get to the barn to exercise him/her. Students must pay a $40.00 emergency turnout deposit before bringing a horse to FHFEC. Any unused portion of this deposit will be credited to the next term or returned to departing students. Individual turn out fees are $4.00 per turn out.

SELF TURN OUT
Space is available should you wish to turn your horse out. Due to the number of horses stabled at this facility, there are restrictions governing paddock use.

Turn out is limited to 1 hour during times before or after FHFEC turn-out service. Check the turn out schedule.

Do not turn your horse out with another horse unless permission is granted by the owner(s) of the other horse(s) concerned.

OWNER MUST REMAIN ON THE PROPERTY while the horse is turned out.

Close the gate after removing horses from the paddock.

Immediately report any damage to fencing to the management.

Turn out in the indoor arena is limited to a 15 minute "leg-stretcher" providing no one is riding. People wishing to ride or lunge in this area have priority.

No hay is to be fed to horses turned out.

Please lead only one horse at a time and have proper restraints (i.e. halter and lead shank). Appropriate footwear and gloves are advised for your own safety.

Absolutely NO turnout in any arena that contains show jumps. Empty outdoor arenas may be used for turnouts. Handler MUST remain with horse while turned out in riding arenas. No exceptions.

Absolutely NO turnout in grass paddocks with wet footing without permission from staff.

Riders have priority over those wishing to turn a horse out in riding areas.

The main arena with show jumps is not to be used for turnout.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT TURNOUTS!
DO NOT turn out horses in arenas adjacent to riding arenas while there is a lesson taking place. The only turn out areas allowed during lessons are the indoor arena and/or upper grass paddocks. For indoor lessons, turn out in outdoor arena or work your horse in the round pen.

WARNING: If you turn your horse out in the lower paddocks while an outdoor lesson is taking place, you are breaking the rules. If the horse you turn out causes a rider to suffer an accident, you are assuming full liability.
